This spacious, comfortable home is all on one level. Sunshine floods the house, bathing the rooms in warm light. Next to the large kitchen is the living / dining room with an open fireplace. French windows lead to the L-shaped terrace that surrounds two sides of the house, where a pergola provides shade over the dining area next to the barbeque. The views across the river valley to the National Park of the Sierra de Almijara and down to the Mediterranean are, quite simply, stunning.
The double bedroom with en-suite bathroom has its own access to the terrace and shares these views. Completing the accommodation are the twin bedded room and its separate shower / WC.

Casa Carolina – sleeps 4
Year after year, people return to Casa Carolina to recapture the peace and tranquility of this beautiful setting. Many have said that they abandoned their plans for trips to Granada and Cordoba, and only went out to shop in the local markets. Just 200 metres down a quiet lane off the road from Nerja to Frigiliana, Carolina is in a world of its own, on the edge of the national park.
Park at the bottom of the mature garden, follow the meandering floodlit pathway through flowers and trees past the private pool with it sun terraces and pretty summer house – and do help yourself to oranges, lemons and limes on your way. This garden seems to change colour to match the seasons. Red for winter; pointsettias in full bloom and berries on the bushes. Pastel fuschias and jonquilles herald spring then give way to the strong purples and pinks of summer’s roses and bouganvillea. The first sign of autumn is the ripening russet fruit on the pommegranate tree.
